Building Construction was somewhat a streiod injected chapter that was continued from building materials from semester 1

 

Experiencing Construction

This particular brief prompted us as a group to experiene, ducument & analyze the construction process which had to be on site. 

 

The site selection consisted of a residential area with over 200 units, furtheremore the site had various stages of construction which made it suitable for the different jobs that were reuqired of us. Having split the subtopics, I landed the 'Roof' aspect of the report. Having then to study and depict what elements, type & materials were used during roofing became the objective.

 

All in all I've gained the knowledge to prodeuce handdraws construction elements, site specifc ofcourse as well as documentation of the site and contruction method/process, not just my individual part, but from my group mates as well. Having to prepare a list of legitimate questions for the constractor, which required intense research & understanding of various construction elements, which were available reginally and local (considering cost) which was also education and relevant. Last but not least is the ability to work in groups, even though this project was unable to highlight that perticular aspect as well as it should have, i've learnt from it, and am now more equipped to deal with such situations.
