Objective: to introduce building materials that are commonly used in the construction industry. The spaces or building selected to study will permit one to comprehend the reasoning behind choices made by designers in terms of concepts, function use, environmental response, environmental profile, structural requirement, availability of resources and etc. when selecting or proposing building materials.

 

The final project involves us travelling to a particular location/site, and thoroughly analyzing the place in terms to the use of materials to evoke a particular mood/environment or usability in terms of the purpose. The process involved identification of materials, application of materials and conclusive purpose of the materials in terms of space. It was a group project (5-6 members) and also had its individual part.

The conclusive results were to be presented on A2 boards with 3 of the groups works and the rest consisting of individual works. In my case the specified area allocated to me was the Karaoke Room.
